Belated #MakanApaToday #Eid posting because my neighbourhood mosque only scheduled for the korban (ritual animal sacrifice) over the weekend. The custom is you can pay for a portion, that will then be distributed to the needy (you can handle that yourself or get a proxy like a neighbourhood committee to do it for you). You can have a portion of that for yourself, and usually if you do it by proxy, the portion you can get for yourself you then further give it away or distribute it to friends and family.
So on Aidiladha itself we had chicken soto 😂. Eventually mum made soup with our portion.
