As they say, one step at a time. They don’t even have roads connecting villages at the island perimeter, and will probably never connect all villages due to very rugged terrain.
I’m not sure about the need for an international-size airport on Tioman, 3 times the runway length of the existing STOLport. They can do assessments but I don’t think work will start in these few years.
