Why proud? What is left to be proud of, I wonder?

Nationalistic sentiments like that are part of the reason why we’re in this mess to begin with. Start being critical of your government today. Never be satisfied with the status quo. Don’t accept the meager good in spite of the overwhelming bad. Fight to change things for the better so that you can say you are proud of the positive change you made in your country, rather than celebrating merely being born or living here.

Fuck off with that shit. You have no family, no career responsibilities, and no community connections. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be sounding off like a middle-schooler. You would be offering advice, links to immigration services, or at the very least, be encouraging, iF yOu CaReD.

I’m not posting bullshit online about how I’m going to switch to the Canadian side when the war starts.

Oh no Americans! Downvote me harder. Put me in my little Canadian place for pointing out that you’re all liars and Trump is a natural product of your culture.

It’s all my fault that you can’t stand up to daddy trump because I didn’t do the work for you to figure out how you could help.

I’m not going to be encouraging Americans to continue to spout off more sad lies. Do something or shut up about it. You’re all full of hot air and weak as heck.

" I didn’t end up actually helping the Canadians because they wouldn’t give me a nobel peace prize links and encouragement"

Most of us rational Canadians old enough to remember a more civilized version of Alberta, even ones born there, know that present-day Alberta really just needs to have it’s face held underwater until the bubbles stop.

The war doesn’t need to be fought only on Canadian soil even if occupied. An insurgency on American soil is way easier and makes it too costly to maintain and will force the occupation to end.

My bad. I forgot to add the word only. I fixed it. My point is that in addition to an insurgency on Canadian soil by Canadians, there would also be an insurgency on American soil by people there from around the world. If Canada isn’t safe, no one else is.

The US would find not just Americans, but people from around the world living in the US would find ways to join the insurgency.

All comments like these do is make people even more apathetic, or even actively negative against your perspective. With that attitude and obvious complete lack of an attempt to consider differing perspectives or think of situations where people cannot just uprooted their entire lives in a day. Because you clearly think your assumptions of everyone’s situations are accurate and inalienable the same way those that support Trump believe he’s right.

Since you clearly are willfully trying not to consider alternate perspectives, based on your other responses in this and similar threads, I hope you’re first in the front. If you were the only casualty I’ll be 100% confident that society across the board would be a better place based on your comments here. The same way that disbanding ICE, or removing Trump from office, would be a net positive across the board.

I am responding to someone who said they will 1000% percent defect to Canada, that person is lying. If they are not willing to make personal sacrifice now, they won’t be willing later either.

That’s fun that you wish death upon me. You’ve really shown that you are the bigger person here.

Still doesn’t change the fact that Americans who say they will help later, are full of shit and and will never make personal sacrifices to help others.

I’d personally love to, but my wife is disabled, we’ve got 3 children with varying degrees of developmental disability requiring me as a round the clock caregiver, and we live off my wife’s disability benefit and other government assistance here. No shot we get in.

Only way we’re getting into “Canada” is if y’all annex the Buffalo-Niagara region lmao.

Ah yes, because it’s definitely the person in poverty whose every waking moment is spent taking care of disabled family members that didn’t do enough to stop the fascist regime.

Why are you proud of something you had no influence in? I was born in Norway, and am glad to have been born here, but I am not proud to have been born here. I had no influence in where I was born, so I don’t feel proud of it, but I feel quite fortunate to have here.

Nothing to be proud about for a country that was built on people taking other people’s homes/land and then still not being able to provide housing or universal healthcare. If war is declared on the US, I will not hesitate to go against this forsaken sad excuse of a psuedo democracy.

Because the POTUS has spent the last couple weeks threatening neighboring allies after killing a bunch of Venezuelans, kidnapping maduro, and claiming all the oil.

Do you know that project 2025 group “the heritage foundation” that’s running this turdfest? Their parent group the ATLAS network is currently spreading separatist propaganda in Alberta. The part of Canada with all the oil.

      It’s very topical.

Well you would need to put your money where your mouth is and immigrate now. When the war starts you won’t be able to get to Canada other than if you join the military and try to surrender.
