It’s been obvious for quite some time that they were going to do this since Zelensky made various statements in the past about how the West should not disappoint Ukraine. And then there’s that direct threat to Europe he made.
Curtailing aid to Ukraine will only prolong the war, Mr Zelensky argues. And it would create risks for the West in its own backyard. There is no way of predicting how the millions of Ukrainian refugees in European countries would react to their country being abandoned. Ukrainians have generally “behaved well” and are “very grateful” to those who sheltered them. They will not forget that generosity. But it would not be a “good story” for Europe if it were to “drive these people into a corner”.
Oh sure when I say we shouldn’t give the self avowed nazis guns because they’ll use them to do nazi shit after the war I’m a Russian shill but when Zelensky threatens other nations with it if they stop funding him, crickets.

It was a group of Canadian-Ukrainian nazis who came up with the “holodomor” term btw. They didn’t actually create the myth itself, but they’re the ones who revived it and gave it a vaguely holocaust-sounding name.
Poland is getting pretty sick for being blamed for not sacrificing their entire economy and military for ukraine from all reports.
Canada or Germany
Well canada is a safe bet because they’re known to be filled with ukrainian nationalists, but my dark horse is the US itself, specifically Miami, FL.
Gambling can be used effectively. Numbers games were often used as a lender of last resort in poor communities, with numbers readers sometimes even giving wins to people in need rather than who had the correct number. It can quickly devolve into obsession and addiction for some though, so it’s not an ideal, rather a decent survival method within marginalized communities.
