    Perplexity summary (AI generated)

Perak Man is the oldest human skeleton discovered in Malaysia, dating back 11,000 years[1]. The remains were discovered in 1991 in a cave called Gua Gunung Runtuh, a few kilometers north of the town of Lenggong and 105 meters above sea level[2]. Perak Man is the most complete skeleton found in Southeast Asia and the only one found with a genetic disorder[3]. The discovery of Perak Man and the Lenggong Valley site, where the skeleton was found, provided insights into history, how he lived and died, and the care taken over his burial, which revealed more about the society he lived in[4]. Perak Man provides the earliest evidence of the Brachymesophlangia Type A2 congenital deformity[4:1].

What you missed when you don't read the article

    IC Perak Man

This guy was, indeed, a highly regarded person in society to be afforded burial in the most difficult of places. He lived during the peak of the last Ice Age, when the sea is easily 60m below present level. He’s 100m above sea level now, he’s 160m above sea level then.

community logo FMS coat of arms

The community logo is based on the coat of arms of the Federated Malay States? It combines all the colours from the flags of the constituent states:

  • Perak: White, yellow, black
  • Selangor: Red, yellow
  • Pahang: White, black
  • Negeri Sembilan: Yellow, red, black

The FMS coat of arms would eventually evolve into the coat of arms of Malaysia, with the FMS colours forming the core of the blazon.
