    • Never have a real job
    • Don’t/Can’t play sports
    • Are not artistic or creative
    • Pays people to be with them

I don’t think kids should pay taxes or have jobs. Some kids aren’t interested in baseball or poetry. Some aren’t ready to date, others don’t want to. Some need assistance with everyday things. Let kids be kids.

In all seriousness though, this is the same kind of rhetoric which lead the Nazis to categorizing neurodivergent people as Untermenschen and killing us.

Looking at Canada suggesting euthanasia to anyone with a minimal problem, this rethoric is probably not a coincidence

A system’s function is what it does

Canada has delayed expanding the euthanasia program to people with mental illness until they can come up with a satisfactory definition for mental illness. It should happen in about two years. At that point I imagine applications will skyrocket, because mental health care in Canada is basically non existent.

Until then, you can apply if you’re terminally ill, chronically suffering, or just poor. In fact poor people suffering from disability are often pushed into applying.

Currently, someone can request MAID if their death is “reasonably foreseeable” under what’s known as Track 1, or if they suffer from a “grievous and irremediable condition,” Track 2.

    Never hold a job.

“They’re not contributing to society….and that’s why we have to double down on our refusal to hire them and completely exclude them from society!”

    Smooth move, dipshit.

This is going to end with the definition of autism being changed to… whatever this is so they can say they got rid of all the autism huh

Edit: wait that’s too optimistic they’re going to say they ended autism by ending autistic people huh

When I was very young, I had therapists tell my parents that I would never be able to take care of myself and the only emotions I would ever experience is sadness and anger. I guess this brainworm is fitting for the ableist healthcare industry.

To be fair, sadness and anger are probably the only two emotions that any person has ever experienced while interacting with that therapist.

He very well may be. This is anecdotal but I’ve noticed that some people use autism as a shorthand for other disabilities, particularly if they aren’t close with the individual in question. I have no idea how widespread this is but it creeps me out a little every time I notice it happening.

Seriously, I try to believe that no one is beyond redemption, and that the death of an individual, caused by others or just happens to happen, should not be the optimal solution. But this man frequently makes me question these beliefs.

I share that sentiment but lately I just feel like so many of these ghouls are just evil through and through and idk, I feel like they’re ill but they will never accept any help and will always do everything they can to keep positions of power, they will even bring back measles ffs.

As an autistic person, I think so much of its symptoms can be mitigated simply by just…including us in things anyways and ignoring our “bad vibes” or whatever.

EDIT: I did not like the wording before so I made sure my comment was as clear as possible with no bad implications.

I’m autistic and played baseball. It is boring as hell but my dad gave me a little baseball autism when I was younger. I have since recovered.
