They literally put a unified (and cool sounding) name to the previously unnamed resentment simmering in every working class person. I’m sure they will eventually have some success diffusing or co-opting DDD, but holy shit, I hope someone got fired for that blunder

I’ve seen it reported that the cops misread the words. That it really was exactly the words from the book (Deny, Delay, Defend), and the cops just misread the “Delay” as “Depose”. Seems like the bad info spread faster than the corrected version now. Hard to know without them releasing actual photos of them at this point. Also, I still don’t know if it was just bullets (unfired) that had writing on them or the actual fired casings left behind. Unfired bullets would seem more plausible/legible since a fired casing could smear/scrape the writing. But maybe that’s where the misreading came from? A fired casing being difficult to read.

Cops are known for being dim even by people who don’t ardently hate them

It is a profession attractive to violent types who aren’t bright enough to handle anything more than menial paperwork

no, the mistake was “delay” being reported as “defend”. the words were “deny”, “delay”, “depose” according to the cops

Interesting. Still don’t know if they were fired or unfired though. Hopefully more info continues to come out.

I’m sure they’ll show up in the trial. It’s going to make OJ look like traffic court.
