Enforcing the use of only M and F, and only using the word ‘sex’, not gender. The X gender marker will probably stop happening.

Trans people will also be excluded from some spaces.

It reads to me like gender changes on federal documents are banned, and trans women will be forced into men’s prison as well.

Looks like those are the primary points, yes. But it doesn’t say anything about not allowing changes… Maybe that’s an oversight that gets amended later? Seems like they’re going real hard at trans prisoners and forcing them to detransition.

Hopefully the legality of that will be challenged… But I feel like they’ve set it up as a trap to have SCOTUS declare us illegal.

“Sex” shall refer to an individual’s immutable biological classification as either male or female.

require that government-issued identification documents, including passports, visas, and Global Entry cards, accurately reflect the holder’s sex

This is what I was looking at. If sex is immutable I don’t see how you would be allowed to change it (and have it be “accurately represented”).

Can’t wait for that ruling yea

The phrasing in (2)(a) appears to ban changes by defining sex as immutable

“Sex” shall refer to an individual’s immutable biological classification as either male or female. “Sex” is not a synonym for and does not include the concept of “gender identity.”

Then what happens to people that have already had legal sex change? Some people have gotten nearly every document changed, including birth certificates.

That’s for the courts to decide. “Immutable” seems very clear in this context and I doubt any court will shut this down because it isn’t overstepping executive power or breaking precedent.

Iirc Kansas started forcing people to change things back (e.g. if you needed a driver’s license renewal)

made me realize I probably shouldn’t go through the effort of changing since 1) they would have a record of that change 2) they will probably just change it back or some shit
