The symbiosis between HAMAS and the Israeli far-right has been known for years. Here’s an old article on the topic: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/06/world/middleeast/israel-gaza-battles-hamas.html This is also one of the best things that could have happened for Netanyahu right now, as it props him up in power during a period of wartime and allows him to continue staying out of jail.
