I dont understand why threat actors / hackers use telegram which obtains your phone number and not simplex or even signal for that matter

      Millions of people use signal ~ 40m as of a few years ago. (100m+ downloads on Google play)

      Briar… Nobody knows, but a million plus downloads on Google play

      Hundreds, or maybe even thousands of people use simple x (10,000 downloads)

      Billions, with a b, of people use both telegram and WhatsApp.
