    Pretty much yeah. Local council usually don’t charge for parking at night, so these mafias took advantage of carpark hotspots to charge unsuspecting drivers.

    I mean, there must be paid parking areas nearby that cost much less than RM15, but no, convenience comes first (i.e. park as close as possible to the entrance).

      Depends. Parking in KL (Petaling Street area) is usually RM10 PER HOUR, so I reckon it’s the same for other parts of KL. The exorbitant parking rate is what drives people to park at free parking spots.
