I’m not sure what your point is. The article isn’t claiming that China’s marriage rate is abnormal as compared to other developed nations, merely that it’s reaching record lows IN CHINA. Which is a big deal for Chinese people (source: am Chinese). It makes no mention or comparison whatsoever of countries external to China.
