    Can someone explain why this shark is so popular in Internet culture? I even saw an IKEA ad meming about it and I just don’t understand 🤷

      The trans community picked up as its mascot since the colours of it, the blue shark with the pink mouth and white teeth, resemble the colours of the trans flag if I know correctly.

      And they are also pretty cute.

          Because Ikea pushed it, because the trans community liked it. It’s now a vicious circle, but for once a good one.
