    I get the urge to view this cynically because how can you not, but there’s a growing body of research showing the benefit of psychedelics in treating a variety of mental disorders. AFAIK the big ones are psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and, as the article mentions, ketamine. So it’s generally good that more people are getting access to that kind of therapy

      Being against psychedelic therapy is as anti-science of a position as climate change denial

      As someone with schizophrenia, life was infinitely better when I was using psychedelics frequently. Somehow shrooms and MDMA were generally helpful for psychosis/mania issues

        They say to be careful about that because the trauma of a bad trip can induce psychosis, but psychedelic use overall (when adjusted for other drug use) is associated with similar or better general mental health compared to non-users, so I’m not too surprised honestly.
