Last year, the Filipino heirs to the last sultan of the remote Philippine region of Sulu were awarded US$14.9 billion by a Paris arbitration court in a long-running dispute with Malaysia over a colonial-era land deal.

The Hague court of appeals on Tuesday said it did not recognise that there could be an arbitration award to be made as it dismissed the suit.

    Honestly, good. The day I read when some Spanish and French courts were simply2 agreeing to the demand, I was like, like you guys don’t have enough problems from your histories to bite u in the ass.

      Yeah, it’s seriously dangerous when a random court can award a random claim just like that. Next we will have Sultan of Melaka claiming shit.

      Good on Dutch court for throwing out case like this, else Melaka can go claim for damage for their invasion 🙈
