What can we do to force this car off the cliff as fast as possible? If the conservatives and corporations want to make us extinct, can we force their hands to make sure we all die as soon as possible?

Seriously, what would it take to increase the globe’s temperature by 10 degrees if we tried our hardest to make it happen? Could we poison every last drop of fresh water on earth within the next 3-5 years if we made a real effort? If we really worked hard at it, how fast could we starve, dehydrate or suffocate humanity?

Conservatives will stop at nothing to achieve human extinction on earth. If we just agree with them and pitch in on it, pressing their foot into the gas pedal as hard as possible, maybe we could make this a swift end instead of prolonging the torture over generations. There is no reason to condemn future humans to suffer slow agonizing deaths when we can end this all right now.

Instead of doing all that … consider investing in carbon capture solutions and energy production.

We don’t like to spend millions to fix a problem preemptively, we wait for the damage and then spend billions fixing it.

to make sure we all die as soon as possible?

Crazy how you people think it’s going to come to that.

I’m just going to move where it’s safe.

So is everyone else. Or did you not realize people do their best to move out of danger?

Difference is most people will wait until it’s too late.

Those who get in early will be in a prime position to take advantage of those who don’t.

The people getting in early are billionaires and they’re buying private islands.

Nowhere else will be safe because of both climate change and the mass migration it will cause. The safest bet is probably building strong communities and practicing mutual aid. Which sounds like the opposite of your intentions.

Lol, this isn’t true but I’m not going to sit here and argue with you.

Just wait a few years and we can both see if our worst fears come to fruition.

              Have a good day.

I guess if you move off the grid, sure and more power to you.

Most safe places, like the Great Lakes Region for example, are going to see a lot of migration in the next ten years.

Oh yeah, refugees desperate to get somewhere never cause a problem for those living in that place. You’ll be fine for sure.

I’d rather be dead quickly than torn apart by an angry mob who don’t like the fact that I’ve been living a sustainable life while they’re desperate to survive.

But hey, maybe you like the glint of torchlight on the pitchforks.

Yeah climate change isn’t making Nunavut more livable either

Yukon would be a much better pick

What happens when Elon Musk decides to buy your home and you become a serf?

Or your house gets destroyed by a hurricane?

Or when the billions of other refugees are pounding in your door?

Look, maybe a few million people can survive in the upper latitudes but it isn’t going to be nice. You aren’t going to be comfortable or happy or safe. You might live. That’s it. Is that good enough for you?

I didn’t know money mattered so much when there’s nowhere to spend it.

Or your house gets destroyed by a hurricane?

              😂

Or when the billions of other refugees are pounding in your door?

The billions who “aren’t going to be comfortable or happy or safe.”?

You aren’t going to be comfortable or happy or safe.

              Nice projection.

Is that good enough for you?

Yeah, actually. I don’t ask for much. Have you lived in a major city all your life?

I didn’t know money mattered so much when there’s nowhere to spend it.

Money is just a means of exchange, he’s going to exchange it for something with value. Y’know, like how Bill Gates is investing in farm land.

The billions who “aren’t going to be comfortable or happy or safe.”?

The ones fleeing much worse conditions father south? The ones that will do anything for a chance at a better life than what they can get in equatorial hell. You know, like how Hamas just showed us the most high tech border wall with the most high tech army on earth can be overcome with low tech and some bravery.

                You will never be safe.

Yeah, actually. I don’t ask for much. Have you lived in a major city all your life?

I live in rural Iowa, but it’s not going to be like that.

It’ll be more like Libya, but wetter and cooler. Cross that with New York or Tokyo or any other megacity, with everyone who can make it legally cramming themselves in to a tiny land.

Hope you like having your family kidnapped and sold into McSlavery.
