I am just here to shill for Delicious in Dungeon. It’s a dungeon based anime that isn’t an isekai! Shocking, I know. The characters are really charming, there’s good world building, and while the plot is a slow burn, it’s super compelling. Also the adaptation is being done by Studio Trigger. Why are you still reading this, go watch Delicious in Dungeon!

Laios’s reactions are so adorable! The man clearly loves monsters with all of his heart and watching him geek out is delightful.

Seeing ProdZD as Senshi is so cool. I remember seeing his videos on Tumblr and saying to myself, “This dude is going places.” And now here he is, in places, getting weird about eating monsters.

Steins Gate is pretty good but I hate how they wrote Ruka, I literally can’t watch it because of that character and the plot literally revolving about invalidating their identity

Oh yes, that annoyed me too. I hate how much it was pushed in your face and she had like no chances to be happy

I’ve just finished watching Odd Taxi. Very enjoyable story about a walrus taxi driver who is dragged into shady busines.

Second this too, one of the most underrated hidden gems in the recent time

Also listen to the show’s OST too, the entire album is filled with fine bangers

I felt a little let down when I saw Angel Beats, to be honest. I really enjoyed the ending, and a few plot points here and there, but it felt like they had too much content for a 1-cour show and not enough for a 2-cour, so it ended up feeling a bit rushed, jerking between comedy and tragedy.

Though I think my issue was expecting it to live up to the heights set by Clannad, the eternal final boss of cry-porn. Clannad drained me in a way I didn’t think was possible, and rewatches of key scenes STILL destroy me years later. I can’t go near wheat fields anymore. 11/10, would have multiple breakdowns while contemplating the value of family, again.

How does the anime adaptation compared to the original game? Should I watch it or play it out?

EDIT: Just found out that the Angel Beats anime came first before the game, so this question should be the other way around but… at this point this original question have become moot, so ignore it

To Your Eternity, probably not everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve seen very few anime like it

Solid anime, gave it some attention when it was coming out but didn’t keep up with it. Definitely gonna give it a second try

The anime arc is amazing. The manga continues being amazing for some time before turning… Weird, but interesting. Still recommended.

I read “gay” as “goy” at first and was really confused for a minute why you specifically didn’t want Jewish opinions on anime… 😂😂

RE: Creators. It’s an anime with god-tier audio design about anime and the real world colliding, with “creations” coming to meet their “creators”.

A good gay anime-while-not-being-anime to watch, is Killing Eve.

By the writer of Fleabag (and ❤️♥️ Crashing 💟🥰)

Realistic Sherlock Holmes♀️ and absolute icon Eve Polastri, and world class psychopath assassin-for-hire Villanelle, are so in sync that they’re flirting through murder scenes, never having seen each other.

It’s an absolute joy, being a little bit surreal around the edges, and very anime-like in execution.

If you like fighting but Jojo’s art style isn’t your cup then I can recommend Record of Ragnarok and Kengan Ashura. Outside of fighting PLUTO was really good.
