They’re late to the party anyway. The first 25-tuple-A game was released in 2009, and it’s an indie gem. Got a remaster just a couple months ago, even. https://store.steampowered.com/app/15520/AaAaAA__A_Reckless_Disregard_for_Gravity/

It got a remaster?! I kinda thought dejobaan was defunct. I always liked (and sometimes loved) their weird indie game we had at home vibe.

Yeah, it came out in January! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1372460/AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA_Remastered/

I’m not sure what the development process was like – they were calling it a sequel for a while before then changing it to a remaster. The reviews suggest that a lot was changed from the original. I kind of want to get it anyway.

As an IT guy, I was feeling a bit lost for a moment here wondering what this had to do with IP address records.

Yeah, the team that made it really put all the A they could into that game. You could say it was made by a real bunch of A-holes, given how much A they put into it

Does this make sense to people?

It’s a joke about how the head of Ubisoft referred to the game Skull And Bones as a “quadruple-A” game. The highest-budget games are often classified as “triple-A”, though people also tend to use the term as a way to indicate size or quality. By calling S&B an AAAA game he was signaling that it would be in a class of its own in terms of quality, most likely.

The game itself has been pretty universally considered “meh” at best, so this meme is making fun of the original claim.

      I hope this explanation helps!
