Lemmy.ml doenst allow porn, and is defederated from lemmynsfw. Make an account on an instance her does federate with lemmynsfw. Most do.
You have to check to show nsfw content in your profile settings and then access the community through your instance, !gonewild@lemmynsfw.com or just append to your instance url /c/thecommunityname@server.com
Lemmy.ml also has that instance defederated. I can’t view it either

Lemmy really should show an error msg that it’s defederated or something instead of a blank page.
The weird thing is that some communities on that instance still showed a few posts. I thought those communities were just already dead.

I think the general lack of porn on here probably lowers our retention a little bit. Unfortunately, in order to dump porn you need a porn collection, and I haven’t had a collection in quite awhile. I just use streaming sites like most people.

I think that Lemmy.World is anti-NSFW if I understand my own journey trying to figure this stuff out yesterday, as a matter of fact.
This instance, for whatever reason seems to block NSFW posts from appearing (even if you hace it set up to show on your account settings).
To get around this you can view the comments in a community and see the posts that way, which is handy to see if it is an active community.
But what I did was create an account on Lemmynsfw.com and then linked it to my Liftoff! app, I think all other apps give you the ability to link multiple instances as well. The benefit of this lets you have different lists totally separate to each other as well. If you just want to see your normal feed the browse your normal .World instance, but when you want to see boobies and bottoms then flick it over.
lemmy.world isn’t blocking anything. If you check all/new you’ll see a bunch.
This may be the case for desktop, but the mobile experience is different.
When I was figuring out the solution yesterday it seemed that mobile apps were not showing NSFW stuff on .World. Even with the applicable settings selected in options.
If a platform exists, it has porn on it.

I’m fairly sure if they took all the porn off the internet there would only be one website left and it would be called ‘Where Did All the Porn Go’.
Porn is literally what drives technology innovation.
Porn on Reddit was probably a good 10-20% of all it’s traffic.
As history has shown, a lot of the features that come to Lemmy will be added because porn. Embedded videos for example.
