    Turkey is very adept at playing out Russia and the USA against each other, as they both kind of rely on their geopolitical location.

    I think this is their way of testing the waters with the Soviet Russian alliance that’s on the table

    well you have to understand two things: first turkey fought in korean war just to join nato and the people who actually fought are regarded as heores to this day, and it is always turkey’s balanced politics to declare war after the actual war is over
