I did learn metric in school, did you not? I’m in Ohio, not sure if it’s different elsewhere. Typically it was tied to physics and chemistry, but still learned it.

I use both metric and imperial for work. But the issue is changing every single street sign, updating all of our school material, etc would cost the country billions of dollars and it just isn’t worth it at this point.
Granted this was 6 years ago, but I met my now fiancée on bumble. It might be worse now, not sure
I said this:
“This user moved to the Fediverse after nearly 10 years on the site due to the proposed API changes Reddit announced in early June 2023.”
@hariette onboarded an Android dev just the other day to help feel more like an authentic Android experience.
Tell me you’re a Chinese shill without telling me you’re a Chinese shill.
Nope, this is for both iOS and Android. It just takes inspiration from Apollo.
By the way, Artemis is inspired by Apollo, but will be available on both iOS and Android!
There is an app in development to support both kbin and Lemmy.
Beta sign-ups are in that magazine, beta will start rolling out at the end of this month. It will support both iOS and Android.
As of right now it is not open source, but @hariette is leaning towards open source upon public release Source from the Artemis App discord.
Hmm. I typed @hariette@kbin.social
I didn’t actually use a URL. I did that because I wasn’t sure if I just typed how it would appear on Lemmy
For all we know Christian is talking to a lawyer behind the scenes, it’s typically not recommended by attorneys to announce that you plan on suing someone
All good, just trying to point her out in case you wanted to follow her
So you’re currently signed in to the lemmy.world instance. I am signed in to the kbin.social instance. I don’t want to recreate my account over on a Lemmy instance just so I can use the Jerboa app or any of the other alternatives.
You are able to post and see posts from kbin due to federation, but you would not be able to log in to a kbin instance on the Jerboa app.
The Artemis App (the app in the OP) will allow users to sign in with EITHER a Lemmy instance or a kbin instance
I believe @hariette plans on adapting to use the real API once it is made public.
I’ve heard public transit is pretty good in DC, too. My fiancée and I are planning a trip to DC at the end of August. I plan on parking my car at the hotel and just use public transit, so we’ll test that theory.
EDIT: Also, I’ve never been to Salt Lake City. Seems like a really cool place though!
Agreed, the only cities that I’ve been to that had decent public transport were Chicago (The L) and New York City.
I’m hoping that Hariette will respond to one of us soon and agree to open-sourcing the project. Thank you everyone in the Artemis community <3
