Computer scientist. Among many things, I am enthusiastic about music, arcade games, and the fediverse.
Been using it every day for 20 years!
It’s safari on desktop, though
Nice! Got the script working in Safari on my local instance. Thanks!
This one where the front blends over in the Danish flag would be awesome: https://media.kbin.dk/50/a9/50a9ee9cf39855e7f6348f3a78551db86425f38bc71b9f2c0fae1cc622bcb4c2.jpg
It could be something simple based on the flag. Perhaps blending from the colours of the original kbin logo into the red and white of the flag?
If fancy, the contour of the map (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denmark#/media/File:Da-map.png) could be shown as a 3d effect in the front-facing part of the shape.
We have a Danish kbin instance. It would be awesome with a logo for the whole instance. So far, I’ve just tinkered a bit with the original logo as you can see on the page: https://kbin.dk
@Xathonn there’s been issues with lemmy.ml not accepting requests from kbin at all. See https://kbin.social/m/random/t/108975/TIL-that-Lemmy-ml-is-actively-blocking-user-agent-string-kbin
Perhaps a time zone thing? I posted it from CET / UTC + 1
Hi from another part of the Internet hosted in a basement somewhere in Northern Europe running a different piece of software :-)
cronjobs with rsync to a Synology NAS and then to Synology’s cloud backup.
Absolutely! I’ve been enjoying it a lot too. Hosting Mastodon, Matrix, kbin, and a couple of game servers now from my basement 🙂
I have a tendency to just use console logging, and only use debuggers when things are starting to get hairy.
I believe they are public by design of the ActivityPub protocol. See (lengthy) discussion here: https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/455
