    watched 2 videos about gaming fraud on kickstarter - kingdom of elyria and day of dragons.

    scummy devs man, after kickstarter, they can still continue to sell even more “perks” and “DLCs”.

    elyria is the worst, never saw daylight after taking $8,368,023.

    buying a game brand new is a gamble already, imagine buying a game before it was made.

    The only time you should buy something sight unseen is when it could potentially reward you with the risk you’re taking lol.

    • there are so many games on the market atm, if you come back to it 5 years later it’s probably selling at 15% of the original RRP, still the same game with ALL DLCs + all bugs fixed + QoL updates if they’re nice.

      Sadly this is something that will hard to regulate… You can’t really just pass a law to enforce things, and you can’t trace where the money went.

        but Star Citizen was launched no? most promises delivered also?

        idk too much about it, but it looked polished to me (by modern standards)
