Tho in some ways it should prop up the local economy. Russian side just said they intend to continue the war till 2025. They have supplies to last till 2026.
Both side is in a stalemate and Ukraine is making really slow but positive progress. Mark my words - Russia will end up with a significant amount of land it annexed from Ukraine.
