Sometimes it takes a funeral to meet your old friends again, despite the awkwardness.

Today while buying dishes to go with my rice, I witnessed a foreign worker buying only curry gravy to eat with his rice. I asked the lady if it’s a relay occurance and she confirmed it is; that man would only buy dishes when he has received his pay, otherwise he usually just gets gravy.

That guy is going to suffer from malnutrition. That’s why paying people a livable wage is important.
